Yes, it is he :-)

This has been brought up some times in the past,
and it was the general idea that it was better to
reply to individual messages instead of a digest,
to keep the topic/subject of a discussion. With
the '[sdiy]' in the subject you should be able to
organize your mail so that you can redirect mail
from the list to a folder or something.
