[sdiy] oscilloscope single/dual ?

Hi,

I've seen a new scope 10MHz single channel but XY capable and screen is 
1/2 than usual (about 3''), but is about 30% size of a normal scope and 
I like that.
I'd like some opinions about how important is to have two channels for 
SDIY... and 3'' V 6'' also.
I can add and substract signals before the scope so, it is usual to 
compare signals or any other duty that asks for a dual channel instead 
of single?
