If you dig thru CCD specs for fax machines, yes.
Here's the catch.
Fax machine CCD is a single row of a bunch of pixels. ( 200*8.5 or more )
they make at least two kinds however. One kind has a row of CCDs and an
electronic shutter, one has two rows of CCDs and pushes the charge to the
"dark" row before serially passing it out. The kind with the electronic
shutter is cool because you dont have to trigger the shutter, so you glue
some LEDs at various places on the CCD then coat it with car undercoating or
whatever thick goo you have available. Easy to do. Physically large. Not
exactly cheap unless you find a fax machine you can rip this out of, or have
a local surplus store with metric buttloads of fax machine guts to dig thru.
When I tried this I did just that, glue the LED right on to the CCD strip.
In retrospec I should have done something to block all but a single cell of
the CCD, unstead I hit several. I gave up on the idea when I found out
Shanghai Belling was making BBDs.
I'm certain harry would LOVE a full delay made from CCDs as when you stomp
on them they make a nice breaking-glass crunchy sound.
