Agreed.  There is occasional DIY stuff in there (mic pre's etc) as well,
and it's a free subscription.  In spite of it being an
advertiser-sponsered mag, it's not one of those "Everything works great,
gear is all about the features and not the sound, and we write what the
mfgr's tell us to write" sort of bull, like too many of the other trade
magazines out there.

Not sure how the editors pull it off, but they do.

Highly recommended.
