I debated whether to show my personal train-wreck to the group, and I
narrowly decided to publish these temporary links:

This is my personal work area, as of this morning. You can't really tell,
but there is an L-shaped desk in the room, along with a roll-around cart,
and a square table to boot. If you look closely, you might see both G-100
and H-100 series Hammond tonewheel generators peeking out from under the
rubble. You see, I had them balanced on top of the roll-around cart to do
some sampling of the tone wheels, and after several weeks the cart simply
collapsed under their weight! I've yet to get enough nerve to look for
possible survivors in the lower shelves of that cart. I can only assume
there were some casualties trapped in the debris. I think I'll organize (no
pun intended) a search party today, to look for any survivors. ;)
The double-wide rack cabinet looks mostly empty, but it has electronics
behind the deceptively empty-looking blank panels. There are 3 stereo tube
amps inside the rack, along with 1 monophonic tube amp, along with truly
rare and exotic contraptions.
In the middle of the room, is my trusty computer. It's being worked on, as
you can see. Sometimes I think it's the reason I don't get anything done.
Every time I start a new project, it seems the computer has a new problem,
and I end up working on it instead. I truly love a well-designed computer,
running well-crafted software. I only wish that PCs fit into that category. :)
If I were to actually try, I'm sure I could give Batz a good challenge for
the title.
Side note: Do you get a title belt, framed parchment certificate, or a
trophy or something? I could really use something to decorate the place.
You know, give it some of that comfy, "lived in" feeling.
Actually, after seeing some of the truly neat workspaces that others have
maintained, I absolutely have to clean things up... first thing tomorrow. ;)
take care,
Glen
