Very true - it's more interesting sounding if you ask me. Although on a
tube it's pure square, to the ear it sounds very rampy. Fast modulation can
also cause almost chorus-sounding effects as there is an apparent slight
shift in frequency when swept through at a hurried pace. I slapped the tri
source PWM circuit from Electronotes onto my triangle core VCO that I've
been working on for, gosh, 10 years now, and I was 'blown away, dude' at
this variant in which (one of you guys) spoke of here. At first I was
bummed out that it wasn't boilerplate PWM and was thinikng of taking the
source from the ramp rather than the tri, then took the 'viva la
difference' tact and ended up glad I did.
