[sdiy] Cutting rotary encoder shafts??

I've went through several disks, and I've not actually had a disk break
yet, but I'm still a bit nervous. I try to be as methodical and cautious as
I can be when holding and using this tool. I also use the
fiberglass-reinforced cutoff wheels. I think there are some cheaper cutoff
wheels which are not reinforced, but I've never had the desire to use one
of those fragile looking things. Maybe the ones you were breaking were not
the reinforced variety?
