Heh, yes, that's true - now. I'm getting older, my eyes don't work that
great. I can't do surface mount. So I would need real 3 legged transistors,
but even those may be limited in production eventually. And an OTA or an
OpAmp needs a bunch, many of them matched, imagine the size of an analog
modular with no ICs at all, and imagine the time it would take to build. Not
nearly as convenient as what is available right now (and apparently, slowly,
but surely, one by one, vanishing).
