Simple solution ... get a pot, on one out-side terminal put input A, on the
other outside terminal put input B, in the middle terminal is the output...

wow, really? i thought it may be that simple, is it true? !
what type of pot 250k?

original question
hi, i'm a relative fool when it comes to diy stuff, building guitar pedals
from diagrams and kits is all my experience..
i enjoy reading this list nontheless, i find the subject really interesting
anyway, i have a question i was hoping to get some help on if anyone has the
free time
i want to make a simple blend circuit for my bass guitar
i've been experimenting with piezo transducers along with the standard
magnetic pickups
what i want to do is have a potentiometer control the blend between the two
sources
so for example when the knob is turned fully to the left the magnetic
pickups are passed to the output jack, if the knob is fully to the right
only the piezo pickups are heard. anywhere inbetween would just be a mix of
the two
i'd probably drill out an extra hole for this knob..
i was thinking of housing this in the control cavity where the standard
volume pots are so the component count would have to be low...
is this hard to do? do i need opamps and a little perfboard? i have no idea
how to do this, if anyone could help or point me to some schematic (or
better yet component wiring diagram) i'd be SUPER happy!!!
i could barter some litttle bits of gear for the help! guitar pedals or
something like that
thanks for your time
