[sdiy] Futurlec (was Vactrol replacement parts, Canadian parts suppliers)

Hi Peter,

FWIW (I'm in America) - I have ordered from Futurlec a couple of times with
varying results. Seems like the first order showed up fairly quickly, and
I don't recall any difficulty.

I happened to be going to the UK for a business trip on the second order,
and there was a general SNAFU - they sent an email stating the credit card
company denied the order (good credit card, good available credit - don't
know what that was all about). After confirming the email *did* come from
them, I called the credit card company and they said no attempt had been
made from Futurlec. So I re-sent my credit card info to them, and it
finally was processed. I was gone a month, I'd ordered a few weeks before I
left, and the order came about a week after I returned. However, I did not
have any problem keeping in communication with them as you indicate.

The nationality of Futurlec is a bit of a puzzle to me - they must have
offices in various countries? I've seen Indian script on envelope labels
for some parts I've gotten from them.

Good luck, hope your order goes through. I like the proto boards that
Futurlec offers.

Cheers,
Scott
