About microwaves and ferric cloride.
I don't really see a reason to do it.. don't know if it's really dangerous,
but it sounds like a bad idea to me. It also takes no time with an oven if
you start at the right time.
When I exposure my pcb's I go into the kitchen and make a pot of boiling
water. As soon as it boils I just put a plastic-jar of etchant into the warm
water.. (and turn off the oven). Then I develop my pcb, clean it and check
if I need to repair a trace or two.
In this time the etchant has plenty time to warmup and usually a fine
temperature.
