I have a copy, and it is vastly more sophisticated (in an EE sense) than
the Anderton books.
It goes into the theory of various fx quite thoroughly, copious CRO 
screenshots.
One problem is that the circuits have (usually) a LOT of components.
It is a fact that in guitar fx, you can sometimes make something that
is musically useful, even though it might cut a few corners (like
most of the early ElectroHarmonix range). Boscorelli goes the other way.

I don't think there is anything in this Boscorelli book that the S-DIY
person can't find on the net (sooner or later) but, it is nice to have 
it all together. I'm glad I got mine (and it wasn't cheap with the 
overseas postage at the time).
