Stack three (or more) operators.
Set the "top" modulator to "fixed freq" and tune it into the LFO range.
And presto, the "middle" operator has individual pitch LFO.
You may even modulate the amount of modulator pitch modulation with
velocity, envelope and/or LFO.
But agreed.
It would be better if there was more freedom in assigning pitch envelope or
LFO to individual operators.
SY77/99 delivers more in this era.
