[sdiy] Connecting rotary switch to PCB?

Ah,

So, I think I already know the answer to this one, but I'm often wrong, so
I'll toss out the question. Obviously I'm a beginner! :-)

I have a very nice 10 position rotary switch. [Allied electronics part
#676-1980] It has solder tab connections, except for ground, which is a
very odd looking little prong like thing that I have *no* idea what to do
with.

Anyhow, to connect this to a PCB, I suppose I just solder a ribbon cable on
to the solder tabs, then make .1 holes in my PCB board and solder the other
end of the ribbon cable directly to the PCB board. Is that correct?

Thanks!
- Bret
