Probes need to be matched to the input capacitance of the o'scope.
Faster probes can be used if they match, but they will not give better
performance.
otoh if you upgrade the scope, you could re-use the probes
I recommend you get a pair of 10x probes. The much higher resistance
(10M) and lower
capacitance will more than compensate for the attenuation of the signal.
In fact I never
use 1x probes
