If you're removing a bad part in order to replace it with a working part,
simply clip all the leads with a tiny diagonal wire cutter. (Lacking a
small enough pair of cutters, you could use a Dremel tool with a
fiberglass-reinforced metal-cutting disc to slice the leads, but be very
careful.) Then it's pretty simply to pull out the individual leads with a
pair of very pointy needle-nose pliers, while you heat the associated
solder pad with a soldering iron. It's much easier to extract the leads one
at a time like this.
