I have no idea about the circuitry inside this unit, but the Chroma Polaris
had some problems with a leaky diode in its battery backup system. The
diode was letting the battery discharge 100% of the time, if I remember
correctly.

Note:  The Chroma Polaris actually used alkaline D cells for backup power.
The resulting leak must have been pretty large.   :)

By the way, what was the original battery used in your Sequential machine?
Did you keep using the same type of battery?
