Hmmm, how about cast resin? IIRC they have all kinds of forms for that
in the "handicraft dept" of DIY stores.

The tricky thing with cast resin is to get the bubbles out, though. Plus
there's nothing like a "box form" (you could try working with a slowly
rotating cube, though, where you fill in small portions of cast resin
and keep the cube rotating until the cast resin has hardened. Somewhat
like baking a pyramid cake.
