I've been in electronics surplus stores in several cities, and I think
Peter's advisory applies to surplus store pots from just about anywhere.
Trouble is, the sort of casual abuse that parts suffer from the time
they become "surplus" to someone's needs to the time they appear on
the shelf of a surplus store, really isn't all that kind to pots.

Pots just don't like being shoved around. Just like me :=) :=)
