Hi CJ and All,
Try the Bourns 91 series sealed conductive plastic pots.
They are panel mount, and relatively small (5/8" square).
If you're planning on using alot of pots, you can get 100 @ $2.55 a
peice from Mouser.
They are $4.74 a peice in single qty.
If you want to use your same 1/4" knobs on those 1/8" shaft pots, Mouser
does have a 1/8" to 1/4" shaft adapter - Part# 506-KR1
