Have you tried Digi-Key and Mouser? I've had pretty good luck with their
selection of pots. Seems like Digi-Key has a better selection of pots, and
Mouser has a wider variety of knobs. Go figure ;) I've found some decent
pots in the $2 - $4 range at both these places. You might also try these

I've found some good bargains there, although their stock changes (looks
like they deal in surplus and excess inventory).
