i find that in a lot audio applications that audio/log pots are
unnecessary, but it never seems like anyone told the company that made the
gear... i like the feel of linear much more than log, and when i turn a knob
halfway counter clockwise, i want the volume to actually be halfway down
[50% of the max signal], not something like 10%.
GUITARS!!! : what is the point in a volume knob when only a small 20 or so
degrees of the entire range make a difference in the volume? on two of my
guitars i've replaced the audio pots with linear pots, and on the third i've
replaced it with a spst switch [ it makes muting much easier :P ]
