On the subject of scope art...
If you haven't tried this already - The low-pass and band-pass outputs of resonant state-variable filters (one connected to X and the other to Y) are fun with saw, square, or any harmonic-rich signal on finter input.

All pass or 'dome' filters are also fun!

I remember, a long time ago, a collection of 10 passive R-C-diode circuits that produced the numbers '0' - '9' on the scope when fed a 60Hz sine wave (probably work on 50Hz, too). I don't remember where I saw it, though...

I admit it. I'm an X-Y scope looker.
If anyone has a cd of stuff that looks 
good on a scope, I'm up for a trade. 
Mine is just simple stack-of-function-
generators stuff I made for a X-Y 
laser mirror thing.
