[sdiy] using aceton to "wash" leaked acid from a PCB

I have not found a chemical that will remove the residue leaked from
a NiCd battery. IMHO Jim's idea to just wash the area with soap and water
is a good one. I think the 'chemical' (acid or alkaline... hey didn't he play
for the
Detroit Tigers ???) reaction is already finished..

The leakage (in my case) formed an intermetalic compound that could not be
soldered at normal temperatures. I cut the runs away from the affected area
and
jumpered around that spot. It has worked ever since without problem.
