If you just want to look at audio waveforms, then a PC based
scope is OK.
but I can't imagine using one for trouble shooting.. in my
opinion most ANY 2 channel secondhand scope is more useful.
Don't forget the probes (if not included) might cost nearly
as much as the scope.
And, note that it is usually cheaper to buy another 2hand
scope than to pay to have one fixed (even if parts exist).
When chasing low level noise, I sometimes have to turn off
my computer, which would be difficult with a PC based scope ;D
And those PC scopes (modules that you plug into the computer)
cost more than a good secondhand scope anyway. (I'm not
referring to the PC soundcard freebie programs here).
I personally think that good analog scopes are where analog
synths were in the early 80s, undervalued & well worth
grabbing. (not of course in Australia, where test equipment is
ludicrously expensive to buy or service..)
Get thee to a swapmeet!
