[sdiy] Verniers for Patch Recording

A linear motor arrangement is probably what the *VERY* expensive pro
motorized faders use. I have seen less expensive ones (I think Mouser or
Digi-Key sells a Panasonic motorized fader) and I think these use a rotary
motor and string/pulley type arrangement.
