[sdiy] cutting down to "line level"

Hi all,
I know there was a certain posting a few weeks ago about creating the final
panel of a modular system (the panel which leads to an amplifier for
example), but I haven't noticed actually anything about bringing down the coltage to
"line" standards. Or actually the method in which that is done.
Is this done simply with splitting the Synth-Voltage over 2 resistors and
configuring the resistors to create an eff. Top-voltage of 200mv? Or is it done
with feeding the signal into an Opamp which lowers the signal to tops 200mv?
How do most people here have the transformation of the 10V Synth level to
line-standards?
cheers,
Michiel
