Wow - thats cool! Will it work in my Chrysler Town & Country - I'm getting

Actually, in regards to the more serious nature of your troubleshooting 
adventure - you may have inadvertantly pointed out a very common scenario - you 
spent 12 hours working on something that was, as it turned out, a really typical 
problem in DIY - prototyping, etc

I mention this cause I've done the same thing - you go insane trying to 
'think' of all the electronics theory you think you need, only to find that the 
problem is something as simple as: "a short or an open circuit".

Valuable lesson!  Wish I'd learned it about 10 years before I finally, 
actually did!
