[sdiy] I'm confused

I got some 4000 TL082 from surplus, dead cheap.
NOS from TI, good stuff.
But while I thought the 082 where SO8 it turned out to be much more exotic
QFP8 (almost the same but wider).
So when I run out it will be time to redesign some PCBs ...
Now I always check the manufactures website for part details,
usually all details for the ordercodes are scattered there.
Often some info is in the packaging documents and some in the data sheet and
some in the selection trees.
Got some other good surplus deals too, but also a few bummers.
Most of the time surplus seem to be ok though,
but if there is no complete manufacturer code that can be checked,
I don't take gamble.
However the biggest bummer is still from Electronic Goldmine "U not
American, we don't process order".
Cheers,
Theo
