Hi, I tried to contact Chris Hugget (AKAI) some months back, asking for his permission to make a small run of restyled wasps- the email was passed on, but still no feedback- neither Wasp prototypes that I made worked- even though I had a reference unit. Consider the 'buffered'/'unbuffered' cmos ic's as well if you are going to try to do this thing...best of luck, har, har ,har!

I thought that copyright on this would last 25 years, so, in that case, would have been up a couple of years back. The wasp was '76, right? Or was it '78? Either way the 25 years is complete.
I may be wrong on the 25 years though. Its certainly 25 years for a lot of classificaions, but i dont know for sure that it would be for the wasp.

I guess there may be issues concerning copyright here if one plans to make and sell clone pcb's..even though EDP is long gone? As far as I recall the EDP rights went to Adrian Wagners (ex) wife?
