[sdiy] What makes you drool?

That's very close to the dimensions of og2, which is a single panel of 31" x
11". Here's a picture of the layout at
http://home.attbi.com/~sbernardi/elec/og2/og2_frontpanel.jpg
It's got 3 VCO's, 5 input mixer, 2 ADSR's, 1 LFO, 1 Ring Modulator, Noise
Source, Sample & Hold, a 4 pole LPF and a 2 pole state variable Multimode
filter, 2 VCA's, an Envelope Follower, a Multi Phase Waveform Animator, a 4
input stereo out mixer with pan, and midi2cv and glide. It's pretty compact to
get all that in there and uses the smaller Davies knobs. It also has normalized
patching.
If I was doing it again (which I won't - I've decided that making single panel
non-modulars synths is way too much work to do before you see the "finished"
product), I'd swap the envelope follower for a second LFO.

That's not what makes me drool though. Right now what I'm drooling over is a
Variax modeling guitar by Line6.
