You mean
(1) put nut on the pot's tread, down to the shaft
(2) screw pot into the threaded front panel, but not
tighten it overly
(3) screw the nut *up* against the front panel,
now applying the final force?
Sounds like a good idea, reminds me of a counter nut.
Now *does* this work like a counter nut?
Probably not, because when I wrench it towards the
panel, it looses contact with the pot's body.
But now the clamping is between nut and panel,
both metal. Advantage or disadvantage?
