32 is the the number of threads per inch, and 2A is the thread class 
- basically how accurate the threads are.  The thread class isn't 
that essential for your purposes, but the 1/4-32 is.  1/4-32 UNEF-2A 
is a standard size, but no where near as common as 1/4-20.
