Or to put it differently, use a machine which was designed to be quiet.

Magnus - who the other day was in a computer room where the most noise came
from the 200 1U PCs crunching DNA-sequences but the coolest machine where still
just a 35 kW computerroom heater (no OS on yeat, so no calculations, so 35 kW
is the idle temperature...)
