That's great, because I'm using *exactly* this connector right now!
I have fixed it with two screws on the wooden base that holds the
rack frame. From here I want to go to the front panel.

So this connector is actually intended for front panel mounting ?!
This is the joke of the day (I mean, my not recognizing this earlier) !!

So I guess I have to cut a rectangular hole and mount the connector
from the rear? I must check if this will work with 3mm thick front
panels.
