Also, many people here have built it from the ASM-1 PCB or by themselfs. People
can get help with the ASM-1 here on the list. Happend last week for instance...

Indeed. I too picked up a number of lessons on that project.

Also, I strongly recommend that you look on the current ASM-1 page and look up
my recommendations for an extra trimmer. Makes the trimming much easier.
If you look back in the archives you will find even more notes on it.
