[I had asked this on the matrixSynth group, but did not get many
replies. (Hi Scott!) I'm asking again here in the hope to get a few
more answers.]

It turns out it really is without the Aftertouch option, and has a
preliminary manual that says I can get a retrofit at no charge in
spring 1985. It also has a registration card to order the final manual.
I suppose both vouchers are not valid anymore unfortunately. Again, I'd
be willing to change the keyboard assembly myself if someone could tell
me which type of keyboard works and what, if any, adaptations need to
be done to connect it to the Matrix-12.

Also, is there any place where I could get the final manual from?

Didn't get any answers on that one, so I'll ask again. I need either
the EPROMS or the data to burn them myself.

5. What are the RAM backup batteries inside the Matrix-12 and how often
should they be changed? I'm not so much worried about losing the data
as I am about getting a leak. It appears that the original battery is
still in there...

Additionally, the mains transformer hums badly. Anyone knows if I can
get a replacement power supply or what are the specs for it?
