[sdiy] OT: soldering stations

wow man, good luck with that box.. i don't know if i'd do anything like
that.. finishing other's projects.. i do find it strange there's no pictures
though.
anyway, i have a 15 watt weller, (just a normal iron, no station, temp
control, etc) and i find this works fine, even for pcb soldering for which i
thought it would be too big.

rd=1 and I only have a crappy pencil iron. The guy from whom I bought my
9700 recommended a Weller WTCPT, but I've also noticed the WES50 which is
temperature controllable via a knob (important?). Also Hakko seems oK. What
stations do you guys use or recommend?
