Motohiko,

Yes, this is what I had in mind. A self-contained
module for when you just want a synth voice, and don't
really need lots of versatility.

I like the idea of doing little sub-modules. I am
concidering the idea of making a little expo
convertor. It would be a duplicate of the expo
convertor I use on my VCOs, and use surface mount
components to make it really small. This would reduce
the circuitry needed for a full VCO by a factor of
two. Other modules might include a state-variable
filter and a multi-VCA.
