Hi All,

Just for general info; ARP got a fair amount of mileage from the 3086 in the
sequencer. There are two 3086s in there, and they are basically used as
comparators. One is used to convert the saw from the VC Clock into a
variable-width pulse (used for gate output), and the other half is used to
convert the saw into a square (used for internal clocking only). Also, there
are three transistors from the first 3086 that are not used for the
comparator function, but find use in the switching and logic section for the
various gate busses. I am a little worried about future availability of the
3086, so I think this will be replaced in my clone (op-amp comparators,
discrete switching transistors), but I still thought it was a nice design.
