HI, this is my first post here:
Does anyone know of a cheap hollow-shaft incremental rotary encoder?
I'm wanting to put an LED in the hollow part. It's for something sort of
like
a Serge prgrammer, but with a memory of the various setups you dial up in
it. The brightness of the light in the middle of each encoder tells you the
current value of each knob. I think it's also going to be able to fade from
one set of values to another, either between stages of one setup, or between
stored setups.
It's been interesting reading about Don Buchla's light up joysticks. I asked
him today about putting an LED inside an encoder and he told me he once
made a pot like that by drilling out the shaft and fitting in a lucite rod.
He
couldn't remember what he used that for though.
Another thing I'm looking for is: clear banana jacks
I don't think they exist
ok, TIA,
so far (one month, maybe) it's been a ball reading what you guys have to
write.
my favorite was the Francis Bacon quote
