Grant has found a fault or 2 in the schematic I was using and provided me 
with a corrected version which works perfectly! the clipping is gone and I 
now have perfect triangles again. Thanks so much to Grant and to the rest of 
you who have helped and also taught me a thing or 2 about these tricky 
3080s.
