I never said it wasn't fun, or even commented on the sound (since it's unplayable in the currect
condition). It's going to sound like a 1974 circuit, because it IS a 1974 circuit. Which. by
default, is not "bad" at all. Just not a 2003 circuit. Which by the SAME ARGUMENT, is not "bad",
either.
The Buchla is essentially a VCS3 on acid.
Just because *I* don't personally care, musically, for the who Buchla/Subotnik/"academic" genre
doesn't mean squat. It is quite evident Don went out of his way (big time) to distance himself as
far as humanly possible from Moog/ARP modules. He succeeded 100%.
I don't want to get into endless "agruments" about that. I like Renior, others like Peter Max
(Buchla modules are Peter Max posters with Grace Slick screaming "White Rabbit" while lava lamps
flicker on beaded curtains. A cat softy pads across scattered posters for Filmore East).
Don't worry, I have evil plans for all this later down the road. BRAWHAHAHAHA!!!!!
