I dunno about the Bassace for a beginner.  There are alot of "fixes" for the
board some of which are tricky, and its a flywire nightmare.  Dont get me
wrong, I love the thing, but the Fatman wins hands-down in the Ease of
Assembly department.  I do think the Bassace sounds better though.  Another
Oscillator would be a nifty addition.

I wish Tomg would get the Tomcat out the door.  Actually, I just looked and he
has Tomcat boards listed finally!  For people reading this that dont
know what a Tomcat is, its a single board single VCO very low flywire-count
synth.  Pots are board mounted.  If Tom does a Paia-level assembly manual
it'll be a killer First Time Kit.
