A simple check is required to answer this question - what is already
connected between the sense terminals and the outputs?

On some older units, the circuits are not conected in any significant way,
and REQUIRE a jumper between the outputs and the sense terminals.

Some units have a low ohm resistor between them already (on the PCB, not the
actual terminals). These units need no connection or jumpers, because the
low ohms resistors do this by default.
