I used an AD9851 in a design I did for a 4.5MHz FM modulator. It works very well as
long as you keep the analog and digital grounds far apart.

resolution (0.03Hz at 8MHz ref. clock).
> AD9862 has 16 pins, takes more power (6 times) but has better frequency resolution
(32-bit) and other neat features like PSK and FSK inputs.
