I totally agree on both points. These soft synth
interfaces are way too small. And moving a knob with
the mouse isn't ergomomic at all, but... in a lot of
cases, knobs let you put more controls on a smaller
surface!!!. Glen, you might want to give a look to the
Synth1 VSTi. You can resize it's interface and a
slider appears when you click to edit a parameter. On
the other hand, the sound is really digital (no
bandlimited osclillators etc...). Oh well...
