[sdiy] very simple vco

luca,

ray land has a site with a pretty complete selection of basic synth modules:

http://atlas.csd.net/~rjwsoft/synthesizer.html

including schematics and PCB layouts. not quite primordial, but if you use
the PCBs construction is very straightforward. i've had good results with a
couple of his designs so far.

like you, i started out w/ very simple stuff--555 timer based oscillators,
passive capacitance "filters", and photoresistors to modulate volume... and
circuit bending existing toys. lots of fun, and useful for chaos/noise.
having got my feet wet with that kind of thing, i'm encouraged to try more
advanced projects. watch out, it's addictive.
