[sdiy] Aviator synth info ?

Hi,
I got aksed to look at a British made Aviator synth today .
I opened it up and found much to my suprise , three Digisound vco
modules and a maplin ssm2044 filter board !
not sure what the other veroboard circuitry does .
maybe the later units used different pcb's ?
so it seems that rebadging modules has been going on for a while .
anyone know any more about the Aviator synth ?
