A friend of mine developed a 3D radar mouse.  It never went anywhere
because the people looking at the project worried the radiation might
eventually cook your hand.  I think it worked with some 10 milliwatts of
power.  Very big prototype.  Frankenstein lab looking thing with all the
waveguides.
